Raphael Architects was established in 1986 by Michael B. Raphael, AIA, LEED AP, to offer commercial, institutional and residential architectural services. Today, Raphael Architects is a four-person firm that provides seamless architectural and engineering services required for master planning, design, and construction projects.

Michael Raphael serves as Lead Designer, Greg Frederick is Job Captain and Tara Inglesby is a Project Manager, and Susan Smith, Office Manager, provides administrative support.

Mike Raphael received his formal education in the architectural design studios of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and was further trained in leading architectural firms in Boston, Philadelphia and San Francisco. The firm now applies the lessons learned in different settings and cultures to local projects. Raphael returned to his roots in Pennsylvania in 1986, when he established the firm. From 1988 until 2000, practiced as Raphael Syphers Architects in Doylestown, PA. Today, the firm is once again guided by sole proprietor, Michael Raphael.

Raphael is a registered architect, licensed to practice architecture in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the State of New York and the State of New Jersey. He is a member of  the national organization of the American Institute of Architects, as well as the local AIA  Bucks County and Pennsylvania chapters.

Gregory Frederick, LEED AP, joined Raphael Architects in 1998 as an Intern Architect and now assumes the title of Job Captain, designing and overseeing various projects for the firm. He received a Bachelor of Architecture in 1998 from the School of Architecture and Design at the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Sciences.

Tara Inglesby works as a designer and project manager, reporting directly to Raphael. She is responsible for handling the details of ongoing design and building projects, including construction documentation, as well as overseeing the firm’s interns. Before joining Raphael Architects, Inglesby was a Project Designer /Project Manager for Blackney Hayes Architects, Philadelphia, PA and Kling Lindquist Interiors Studio, Philadelphia. She also served as Project Designer at Hellyner Berman Lewis, Philadelphia. Inglesby obtained a Bachelors of Architecture from Temple University in 1995.
