EXPLORATION

An exploratory phase follows discovery. In this phase, we perform the following tasks:

• Develop a design solution target zone that establishes the client’s expectations for quality and cost.
• Define size, spatial configuration, and scale considerations utilizing a variety of media including:
  • Two-dimensional drawings.
  • Perspectives.
  • Models.
  • Computer-generated models.
• Consider alternatives in scope, layout, and aesthetics.
• Prepare a preliminary construction budget.
• Develop the design drawings to establish overall quantities and general qualities of the proposed materials and major systems.
